Strengthening advocacy services

Children and Young People's Advocates Network logo

Our Children and Young People’s Advocates Network was established in 2018 to provide connection and mutual support for independent advocates working with children and young people (up to 25 years) across different settings.

Independent advocates provide vital information, advice and support to children and young people – making sure their voices are heard and their rights upheld.

Currently connected via an email group, the Network will soon host an online forum to enable members to interact digitally, share good practice and discuss challenges.

Over time, we plan to design and deliver specialist training and expand our rights4children resource to help ensure children and young people get the best help possible from their advocates.

Our first regional event took place in Manchester on 28 February 2019, and the next is in London on 25 March 2019. You can book a place here. We are extremely grateful to Slater and Gordon Lawyers for hosting the first event; and to Matrix Chambers for hosting the second.
