Our Children and Young People’s Advocates Network was established in 2018 to provide connection and mutual support for independent advocates working with children and young people (up to 25 years) across different settings.
The closing date for this year’s Advocacy National Awards is 31 August 2019. Article 39 is proud to be supporting a new category – the Stand Out Children’s Advocacy Award (sponsored by The Hadley Trust). Read more here.
Independent advocates provide vital information, advice and support to children and young people – making sure their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
Our first regional event took place in Manchester on 28 February 2019, and the second was is in London on 25 March 2019. We are extremely grateful to Slater and Gordon Lawyers for hosting the Manchester event; and to Matrix Chambers for hosting the London one.
Over time, we plan to design and deliver specialist training and expand our rights4children resource to help ensure children and young people get the best help possible from their advocates.
