Find the legislation and government guidance you need

Using the law in independent advocacy with and on behalf of children and young people helps identify and challenge rights breaches, seek remedies and hold public bodies to account. We hope this list of legislation and government guidance assists independent advocates and children’s rights officers up and down the country to defend children’s rights effectively.

In addition to the list below, you may find our resources on using the law in advocacy useful. You can find them here.

You can also use our ON YOUR SIDE advice service to obtain children’s rights information tailored to a particular matter you are helping a child or young person with.
