Article 39’s new website – invitation to tender

Article 39 is a small, registered charity which fights for the rights of children living in state and privately-run institutions in England. We take our name from Article 39 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which entitles children who have suffered rights violations to recover in environments where their health, self-respect and dignity are nurtured.

We want a new WordPress website which retains the positive ethos and functions of our existing website while modernising its design and making it much easier for users to find what they are looking for, and to access the breadth of our services and publications. We want our new website to look authoritative and original, and to convey that we are friendly and trustworthy. The visual choices should complement our logo colours of purple text with yellow highlight.

Our website is used by a wide range of adults and children, spanning those who know a lot about what we do, the resources we offer, and the impact we have, and those who know very little. We like that it looks different to most other charity websites. Think of us as being more like a small, independent book or coffee shop than a large, corporate chain.

Interested? Find our invitation to tender here. Deadline: 29 September 2024, 4pm.
